AN ACT to amend and reenact §3-12-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended; and to repeal §3-12-2, §3-12-3, §3-12-4, §3-12-5, §3-12-6, §3-12-7, §3-12-8, §3-12-9, §3-12-10, §3-12-11, §3-12-12, §3-12-13, §3-12-14, §3-12-15, and §3-12-16, relating to discontinuing the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Public Campaign Financing Program; and transferring any unexpended balance remaining to the General Revenue Fund.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Campaign Financing Pilot Program established pursuant to this article will terminate on June 30, 2026: Provided, That on or after July 1, 2026, any unexpended balance remaining in the Supreme Court of Appeals Public Campaign Financing Fund shall be transferred to the General Revenue Fund.
